Description

I painted ‘Fugitive’ when I was living in Barcelona around 2010. This canvas was was about exploring the play of light on water, as well as my love for dragonflies. I wanted to try to capture some of the beauty and form of slow motion water droplet splashes and freeze them in time. I also wanted a sense of urgency for my dragonfly, left with only moments to escape the coming storm.
